This project promotes best practice management activities to improve soil health of sandy duplex soils typical of those found in the southern agricultural area of Western Australia, and demonstrates amelioration methods for degradation of those soils at five affected sites in the North Stirlings Pallinup sub-region. It addresses concerns amongst NRM practitioners and farmers about maintaining plant growth and hydrological function of the vulnerable sandy duplex soils, particularly in the face of potentially drier climatic conditions.
